The state of Connecticut is receiving 1.5 million eggs, hopefully not all at once. If you think this doesn’t have to do with you because you don’t live in Connecticut or you don’t like eggs, you still need to read this.

We’re getting 1.5 million eggs and $96,000 because three of the largest U.S. egg producers cheated Americans by conspiring to inflate egg prices. Connecticut is one of 17 states that sued. The three egg companies are Cal-Maine Foods, Versova/Centrum and Hickman’s Egg Ranch. (All of Connecticut’s eggs will go to food pantries and those in most need.)

The federal agency charged with protecting American consumers is the Federal Trade Commission. On the Federal Trade Commission’s website, they define price fixing:

“Price fixing is an agreement (written, verbal or inferred from conduct) among competitors to raise, lower, maintain, or stabilize prices or price levels.”

An outrageous Supreme Court ruling on Monday allows Trump to fire at will non-partisan members of the Federal Trade Commission and replace them with lackeys. The imperial president just got more unchecked power. It’s a sure bet that these lackeys will be all about large corporations and won’t give a peep about what Americans pay for eggs. Or any other consumer staple. The ruling also opens up a whole new avenue for corporations to grease the palm of the most corrupt president we’ve ever seen. The president and his cronies are picking our pockets every single day.

But, the chickens are about to come home to roost. Vote in November no matter what! Vote corruption out!

And, if you live in a state other than Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont or Wisconsin, call your attorney general and ask Where the hell is OUR egg money? What about MY eggs!

All of us should ask our members of Congress, Who will protect us now from price fixing? What the hell are you gonna do about it? This is about so much more than eggs. But it’s about the eggs too! Every American should be angry about the gross corruption and the flagrant disregard of the American people by this president, this Supreme Court and this Congress who are elected and appointed to protect us!

Vote to end the corruption! Vote no matter what! 🇺🇸🗳️
